I’m temporarily running an experiment on my own website.

This could blow up in my face. But it feels right, so I’m going with it.

Is anyone else sick of seeing the same exact websites everywhere on the internet? It’s as if every single entrepreneur got together and simultaneously decided to use Claude to design their website and ChatGPT write their copy.

Look, I get it, building a website is a giant (and I mean GIANT) pain in the ass. Especially if you don’t enjoy learning a bunch of technical skills and writing copy for hours on end. (That’s me.) And if you hire it out, it’s expensive.

So, as an entrepreneur, it makes sense to outsource your website to something easy, instant, and cheap.

But using AI has drained the internet of all life force energy. It feels empty now. As if the internet has become some strange realm from a science fiction book.

Where’s the heart? The personality? The quirks??

Even the people I know in real life who are total weirdos have boring, robotic websites.

Well, I’ve decided I’m not participating.

As an energy healing practitioner and master teacher, I refuse to have a website that lacks life force energy.

But.. I also don’t want to spend my entire life endlessly perfecting copy and obsessing over design details. It’s just not fun for me.

Additionally, I am not interested in paying thousands of dollars for someone to manage my website. (They will probably just use AI anyway!)

This means I am going to do what I usually do: ignore the mainstream advice everyone tries to cram down my throat and do what feels right.

From this point forward, at least for now, my website will not be some complex system meticulously planned and strategically calculated to persuade people to buy products, enroll in programs, or sign up for one-on-one sessions.

Sure, I will share what I have to offer. Probably. Maybe.. if I get around to it lol.

But I’m going to post whatever I feel like posting. (Usually it’s not much.) I’m going to design it however I feel like (or don’t feel like( designing it in the moment. And I’m going to write copy the same way I speak in real life.

I acknowledge this means some people will judge me for not being “authoritative” enough.

And that’s fine.

I don’t need to “be an authority” on the internet. (Most of the “authorities” you see online are fake, btw. But more on that another time.)

I need to “be an authority” when it matters: when I’m running a group healing program or I’m training my students or I’m helping a client in a private session.

The truth is I already know the impact of what I have to offer. After 34,000 hours of training and clinical practice, I’ve seen the results. I don’t need status on the internet to prove this to myself.

But business experts will tell you that I need status to prove myself to you.

This is why I say I’m running an experiment on my own website that might blow up in my face. And I know it. LOL. Only time will tell I suppose.
